Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) will enhance train frequency during peak hours of weekdays from Wednesday (July 22, 2026), to provide faster, more convenient and comfortable travel for commuters.
Thus, from Wednesday, metro trains will operate at an increased frequency of one train every six minutes and 45 seconds during peak hours on weekdays (Monday to Saturday). While the morning peak hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., the evening peak hours are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Eight additional train trips will thus be operated during these peak periods every weekday, said a KMRL release.
