Couple allegedly attempt suicide in ambulance in front of Kerala HC
A young man and his wife reportedly attempted suicide in front of the Kerala High Court here on Tuesday morning (July 21), alleging that the man was framed in a rape case.
Vinu P., an ambulance driver from Aluva, and his wife Bincy, reportedly attempted to take the extreme step inside their vehicle. They alleged that the complainant, a former friend of theirs, and the police had been making life difficult for them. The alleged incident took place around 6.30 a.m.
The couple were rushed to a nearby hospital by the Ernakulam Central police. They are said to be out of danger.
They also accused a woman judge in Aluva, who is said to be a relative of the complainant, of harassing them over the complaint.
The couple reportedly attempted to take the extreme step after recording a five-minute video in which they made allegations against their former friend, the police, who had reportedly registered the case against Vinu, and the judge.
The central police have started preliminary inquiry into the incident.
