Velammal College Marks 14th Graduation Milestone
During the Harvest 2026 ceremony, Velammal College of Engineering and Technology awarded degrees to 521 graduates. Principal P. Allii opened the 14th Graduation Day by detailing the institution's recent academic progress and milestones. The event focused heavily on the demands of the modern technical sector.
Mukul Sutaone, Director of IIT Allahabad, delivered the keynote address. He instructed the cohorts to prioritize soft skill development and maintain high ethical standards throughout their careers. Sutaone emphasized that professional responsibility must be balanced with personal respect for parents and educators. Complementing this advice, TCS expert Suceendran encouraged the new alumni to remain agile by adopting emerging technologies and committing to lifelong learning. The ceremony concluded with formal appreciation from Dean A. Shunmugalatha.
The American College Celebrates Diverse Graduating Class
The American College in Madurai hosted a large-scale commencement for 2,875 students, comprising 2,207 undergraduates and 668 postgraduates. P. Ponniah, IAS, the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, provided the graduation address, characterizing the college as a forge for ethical leadership and civic duty. Ponniah challenged the graduates to maintain self-assurance while navigating the complexities of the current job market.
