Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy will officially open the new railway facility today, integrated into the Manoharabad-Siddipet line. The infrastructure project facilitates enhanced connectivity for Regional DEMU services and the local community.
Strategic Expansion of the Manoharabad-Kothapalli Project
The regional rail network in Telangana receives a significant upgrade this Sunday as Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy inaugurates the Komuravelli Punyakshetram railway station. Built at an expenditure of ₹6 crore, this facility occupies a strategic position on the recently completed Manoharabad–Siddipet stretch. This segment represents a primary component of the larger Manoharabad–Kothapalli rail line initiative designed to improve transit logistics across the corridor.
Enhanced Connectivity and Operations
The inauguration ceremony features a high-level delegation, including Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, the General Manager of South Central Railway. Beyond the facility opening, Minister Kishan Reddy will formally flag off the Siddipet–Secunderabad DEMU (Train No. 77654) from this new platform. The operational impact of the station includes:
- Integration into the schedules of four existing DEMU services currently running between Secunderabad and Siddipet.
- Improved accessibility for passengers via a new mandatory stoppage at Komuravelli Punyakshetram.
- Completion of a infrastructure milestone within the ₹6 crore budgetary allocation for the Manoharabad–Siddipet line.
By establishing this additional stop, South Central Railway aims to accommodate the logistical needs of the region while streamlining the commuter experience on the Manoharabad-Siddipet route.
