Strategic Leadership Shift in Key European Markets

Italian beauty giant Kiko Milano has finalized a high-level executive move by naming Mikael Guery as President for its operations in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Guery, who takes over the role from Hugues Laurençon, is now responsible for a retail network spanning approximately 200 stores. His primary mandate involves driving commercial performance and scaling the brand's physical footprint across these established territories.

High-Caliber Background in Luxury and Pharma

Guery enters the position with a resume heavily weighted in luxury retail and healthcare distribution. His professional history includes:

  • Significant leadership tenures within the LVMH group, specifically at beauty retailer Sephora and travel-retailer DFS.
  • A recent stint as Managing Director at Phoenix OCP, a major pharmaceutical distributor.

This diverse experience aligns with Kiko Milano's current strategy of recruiting seasoned retail experts to hold and expand its market share against global competitors.

Global Expansion and Financial Momentum

The appointment coincides with a period of rapid scaling for the brand, which was founded in 1997. Now under the majority ownership of private equity firm L Catterton, Kiko Milano is aggressively pursuing international growth. The company’s scale is reflected in its current reach and projected financial health:

  • Operations in over 70 countries.
  • A global retail network of nearly 1,500 stores.
  • Projected revenue reaching nearly €1 billion in 2025.

By securing a leader with deep roots in the LVMH ecosystem, Kiko Milano intends to refine its operational efficiency as it cements its status as a dominant force in the global affordable beauty segment.
