The incident originated when a man named Anand met with two individuals identified by police as Jai Ganesh and Chota Ram. During a session involving alcohol consumption, a sharp verbal disagreement erupted between the three men. Although Anand withdrew from the conflict and returned home to sleep, the dispute escalated into a coordinated assault shortly thereafter.

Severe Injuries During Siege of Private Home

The situation turned critical when a group of men descended on Anand’s house and hurled a Molotov cocktail at the property. During the chaotic sequence, Anand’s elder brother, Arun, attempted to block the assailants from entering the premises. In the ensuing struggle, an attacker struck Arun with a sickle, inflicting a serious head wound. Key details regarding the aftermath include:

• Arun was immediately transported to a local private hospital for emergency medical intervention.
• He is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries as of July 26.
• Nolambur police arrived on the scene to secure the area and initiate a forensic review of the device used.

Law Enforcement Mobilizes Search for Suspects

A senior official from the city police confirmed that investigators have registered a formal case against the perpetrators. The probe focuses on capturing Jai Ganesh, Chota Ram, and the accomplices who joined them in the overnight raid.
