Hyderabad to Host CJP Memorial March Seeking Justice for Deceased NEET Aspirants

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced plans for a peaceful assembly in Hyderabad this Wednesday, July 29, 2026. The event aims to honor the memory of the 21 students who took their own lives following the controversy surrounding the NEET paper leaks. If local police grant the necessary permits, the march will commence at People’s Plaza at 4:30 p.m. and conclude at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Statue.

A promotional poster released by the CJP indicates that the gathering will serve a dual purpose. Beyond the memorial aspects, the party intends to use the rendezvous as a forum for supporters to debate and finalize their upcoming political and social strategies. Unlike previous demonstrations, leadership clarifies this is a somber occasion.

Memorializing the Victims

Vijay Mallangi, the Telangana representative for the CJP, emphasized that the march is not a festive event despite recent political developments. "This is not exactly a victory celebration but a remembrance of the 21 students who died by suicide after the NEET paper leak," Mallangi stated. The focus remains on the human cost of the examination scandal rather than partisan triumph.

The CJP's Expanding Footprint

This upcoming event marks the second time the CJP has mobilized in the city. Their inaugural Hyderabad protest occurred on June 14 at Dharna Chowk near Indira Park, featuring environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk and a large cohort of young activists. This new call to action arrives shortly after the CJP ended a 36-day sit-in at New Delhi's Jantar Mantar on July 25. That national protest concluded once Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from his position as Union Education Minister.
