This new addition, managed by the Eastern Railway (ER) zone, was constructed at a total cost of Rs 2.69 crore. The station management advises passengers to utilize the onsite Public Address System for real-time updates regarding specific train relocations to this platform.

Platform 24 is specifically engineered to handle the heavy demands of long-distance transport. Key features include:
