Remarkably, this upgrade requires no hardware changes or new SIM cards from the subscriber base.

The suite of services focuses on inclusivity and risk mitigation. Key technical features include:

  • Live Captions: Bridging communication barriers for hearing-impaired users and the elderly.
  • AI Anti-Fraud: Real-time interception of high-risk calls to prevent financial exploitation.
  • Data Channel (DC) Integration: The implementation of interactive visual menus that allow multi-party collaboration and business transactions within active calls.
  • Native Noise Reduction: Leveraging machine learning to ensure audio clarity during HD video sessions.

A Global Shift in Carrier Strategy

The movement toward AI-driven communication is not limited to East Asia. Throughout 2026, the telecommunications industry witnessed a coordinated deployment of similar technologies by market leaders in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. These initiatives signal a strategic consensus that legacy voice networks must evolve into value-added information hubs to remain competitive.

Deutsche Telekom recently introduced Magenta AI to optimize calling across its European footprint.
