FIMER India Partners with Aapat-Sahaaya Foundation to Bolster Rural Education Support
Renewable energy firm FIMER India has launched a multi-faceted CSR program targeting school infrastructure and student aid in rural Karnataka. The initiative includes distributing essential learning kits and funding scholarships for 20 high-achieving, financially disadvantaged students.

FIMER India has expanded its social responsibility portfolio by launching a targeted literacy and support program for students in rural Karnataka. Working in tandem with the Aapat-Sahaaya Foundation, a non-profit focused on educational infrastructure and teacher resources, the company aims to eliminate financial barriers that hinder school attendance. The collaboration provides students from underserved backgrounds with comprehensive school kits including notebooks and stationery, promoting dignity and academic readiness for the new school year.
A core component of this intervention is the deployment of funds via the Vidyanidhi Scholarship Scheme. For the current academic cycle, the organization selected 20 meritorious students who displayed both high academic potential and significant financial need. This scholarship initiative aims to ensure that high-performing learners are not forced to discontinue their studies due to economic constraints.

To witness the program's implementation, Chief Human Resources Officer Payal Poonacha and members of the FIMER team visited Veena Makkala Mandira, one of the beneficiary institutions. During the site visit, corporate representatives interacted with the student body and faculty while personally distributing the educational materials. Poonacha emphasized that the initiative represents a commitment to providing children with the basic support required to move forward in their academic journeys.
