The sudden landslip buried three laborers who were working on a residential building site. Witnesses reported that the volume of earth was significant enough to submerge the men up to their necks, necessitating an immediate intervention by those nearby.
Coordinated Rescue Effort
Local residents initiated the primary rescue attempts before professional units from the Cheemeni and Nadakavu Fire and Rescue Services reached the scene. The operation faced challenges as persistent rain increased the probability of secondary soil failures. Rescuers had to balance speed with caution to prevent further collapses during the extrication process. After several hours of manual labor and technical assistance, all three men were successfully pulled from the mud and debris.
Status of the Injured
The specialized rescue teams identified the three workers involved in the accident as:

Following their recovery from the site, the trio was transported to a private medical facility in Cheruvathur.
