The finish saw a intense battle for minor placings, with Ashoka and Black Onyx settling into a dead heat for second, trailing by one length.

Performance consistency also marked the second division of the Con Amore Plate, where G. Naresh piloted Perception to a four-and-a-half length win, the widest margin of the afternoon.
