Andhra Ministers Lead Flag Rally to Mark Twelve Years of Union Governance Initiatives

Visakhapatnam’s Beach Road became the focal point for official commemorations on Wednesday as Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav flagged off a 'Har Ghar Tiranga' rally. The event, marking 12 years of the NDA government, featured NCC cadets from various colleges carrying a 200-foot-long National Flag. Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad joined the procession, which was organized by the Central Bureau of Communication under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Alongside the march, the Health Minister opened a two-day photo exhibition titled ‘12 Years of Development: Marching Ahead on the Path of Progress.’ The installation presents a data-driven look at the Union government’s flagship policies and developmental milestones. Particular focus was placed on the strategic roadmap to establish Visakhapatnam as the economic capital of Andhra Pradesh and a primary destination for industrial investment.

Empowering Local Media through PIB Vartalap

The day’s activities included a media outreach workshop branded as PIB Vartalap, organized by the Press Information Bureau’s Vijayawada Regional Office. Designed for district and rural journalists, the session aimed to bridge the information gap between state policy and grassroots implementation. Minister Satya Kumar noted that such platforms help journalists communicate public grievances back to authorities while ensuring welfare scheme information reaches citizens.

During his address, the Health Minister pointed to youth-centric successes such as the Skill Development Mission and Startup India. He attributed recent employment growth to these specific interventions, asserting that the younger generation serves as the primary engine for national progress.

Inter-Departmental Briefings on National Security and Trade

The workshop included technical briefings from several high-ranking officials to provide journalists with deeper operational context:

• PIB Director G. Suresh Kumar described the bureau as a conduit for authentic, time-sensitive data.
• Additional Commissioner of Customs N. Balaram detailed the department’s role in trade facilitation and broader economic stability.
• South Coast Railway CPRO Balaji Kiran outlined recent logistical and service expansions within the rail network.
• Defence PRO Sujit Reddy discussed the protocols and challenges of communication regarding national security and defense operations.
