Security personnel on the ground were immediately notified to inspect the suspicious items.
Upon examination, officials discovered 16 individual packets containing dry marijuana. The total weight of the narcotics reached 18.189 kg, carrying a market valuation of ₹9,09,450. When no individuals claimed ownership of the luggage despite a thorough search, the RPF initiated legal seizure protocols and transferred the evidence to the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Kacheguda for investigation.
Premium Liquor Intercepted via Decoy Operations
The specialized drone unit conducted a separate decoy surveillance exercise on the same day, leading to the discovery of another unclaimed package on Platform No. 2. A carton box, which remained abandoned by passengers, contained several bottles of high-end alcohol. The inventory included eight 750 ml bottles of premium brands:

The seized liquor is valued at approximately ₹31,160. Following the discovery, RPF authorities coordinated with the Prohibition and Excise Department to hand over the bottles for legal processing.
