2 Doctors Drown While Trying To Retrieve Phone From Jharkand Lake
Two young medical professionals tragically lost their lives during an outing at a Jharkhand reservoir while attempting to recover a lost mobile device. The incident occurred at the Dimna Dam in Jamshedpur after one doctor entered the water and the second attempted a rescue.
A tragic drowning incident at the Dimna Lake reservoir in Jamshedpur resulted in the deaths of two doctors associated with the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital. The victims have been identified as Dr. Atal Agrawal and Dr. Abhishek Jha, who were visiting the water body with a group of colleagues.
According to hospital officials, the crisis began when a mobile phone accidentally fell into the water. One doctor entered the reservoir to retrieve the device but quickly struggled as he reached a section where the water was unexpectedly deep. His colleague subsequently entered the water to provide assistance, but both individuals were unfortunately pulled under.
Search and rescue efforts were launched immediately after the alarm was raised, leading to the recovery of both bodies. Local police have documented the case, and the medical community has expressed profound grief over the loss of the two practitioners. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the safety risks associated with deep reservoirs during the monsoon season.
