11th edition of Print-n-Pack expo by MADITSSIA begins in Madurai

New business opportunities and updated technology in the printing and packaging sector are being displayed by leading manufacturers from different parts of the country at the Print-n-Pack exhibition in Madurai on Friday.
The three-day, 11th edition, organised by the MADITSSIA is expected to draw visitors from southern districts of Tamil Nadu, said expo chairman Pon Kumar.
TNPL Chairman and Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Jayanth inaugurated the expo in the presence of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank executive director Vincent Menchery Devassy, TIIC DGM R J Ramesh, TANSTIA president S Vasudevan, MADITSSIA president V Senthikumar, secretary J Ashok and Immediate past president Kodeeswaran and others.
The expo chairman told media persons that over 180 leading companies had displayed their products. For the benefit of neo-entrepreneurs, live demonstration of advanced printing and packaging machinery is being organised, he said and added that innovation in machines, introduction of software in printing and consumables, packaging materials are a few added attraction.
Some of the visitors from Madurai, Virudhunagar, Sivakasi said that the expo is an ideal platform for them to see the functioning of the new products. It is likely to replace old machineries and also give us higher productivity. The packaging machineries were cynosure of all eyes at the expo as it played a crucial role in brand building and among others, they added.
A directory of the participating members and their establishments was released on the occasion. The expo would be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. For students from engineering and polytechnic institutes, the organisers have planned special screening of machineries during the expo.
