The YSRCP has outlined plans for a statewide demonstration to pressure the government into finishing the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Project (RLIP). According to state coordinators, the previous administration had already achieved approximately 80% completion of the necessary works before the change in leadership.

Party representatives stated that over ₹900 crore in bills had been cleared under the YSRCP regime to ensure the project's momentum. They allege that the current alliance government has intentionally halted progress, affecting the irrigation prospects of the Rayalaseema region.

Technical leaders from the YSRCP emphasized that leaving the project in its current state would lead to significant delays and resource wastage. The upcoming protests aim to mobilize public support and urge the administration to prioritize water security for the drought-prone area.
