The Indian Embassy in Hanoi has officially designated an authorized agency to facilitate the repatriation of mortal remains following a fatal boat accident in Vietnam. The tragedy involved tourists from Andhra Pradesh, prompting immediate diplomatic intervention to assist the affected families.

Surviving passengers who sustained injuries during the incident are receiving medical treatment at local healthcare facilities. Reports indicate that at least one tourist from Andhra Pradesh is showing signs of recovery while under professional medical supervision in Vietnam.

Government officials from Andhra Pradesh are reportedly in constant communication with the Ministry of External Affairs to expedite the necessary documentation. The repatriation process is expected to be completed once all local administrative and medical formalities are finalized by the Vietnamese authorities.
