Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, alongside the leaders of nine other nations, has announced the formation of a strategic coalition aimed at protecting Europe from missile attacks. The participating countries include Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
In a joint statement, the group acknowledged the specific and growing risks posed by ballistic missiles. These projectiles are notably more difficult to intercept than standard cruise missiles or unmanned aerial vehicles due to their speed and atmospheric trajectories.
The coalition intends to enhance regional stability and modernize air defense systems across the continent to counter modern aerial threats. The move comes as long-range security remains a primary concern for both Ukraine and its Western European partners. Source: Agence France-Presse.
