Trainee IPS Officer Accused Of Sexual Harassment Attempts Suicide
A trainee IPS officer has reportedly attempted suicide after a woman filed a formal complaint of sexual harassment and blackmail against him. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the allegations while the officer is receiving medical treatment.
A trainee officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) allegedly attempted to take his own life following serious allegations regarding his personal conduct. The incident occurred shortly after a woman approached the police with claims of harassment and digital voyeurism.
According to the complainant, the officer recorded a private video of her without her knowledge or consent. She further alleged that the officer sent the footage to her husband as part of a blackmail attempt, leading to the registration of a formal case against him.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that the officer is currently undergoing medical observation. An internal inquiry has been launched alongside the criminal investigation to determine the sequence of events leading to the suicide attempt and the validity of the harassment claims.
