Tamil Nadu Government transfers DVAC chief A. Arun, appoints IG Mageshwari
The Tamil Nadu government has transferred Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption A. Arun just two months after his appointment. Inspector General of Police Mageshwari has been named as the new chief of the anti-graft agency.

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government issued orders on Monday transferring A. Arun from his position as Director of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC). The senior IPS officer had only assumed the leadership role on May 25, marking a tenure of less than two months.
Inspector General of Police Mageshwari has been appointed to succeed Arun as the head of the DVAC. The transfer comes amid a series of routine administrative shifts within the state's police department and bureaucracy intended to streamline investigative operations.
No specific reason was provided for the sudden change in leadership at the anti-corruption agency. A. Arun has been reassigned to a new post as per the official notification released by the Home Department. Source: The Hindu.
