Special trains from Mysuru to Kannur in Kerala via Bengaluru for Onam festival
The SWR will operate two trips in each direction

In order to facilitate passenger travel during the forthcoming Onam festival, South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the operation of special express trains from Mysuru and Bengaluru Cantonment to Kannur in Kerala. The SWR will operate two trips in each direction.
Train No. 06227 Mysuru–Kannur Special Express will depart Mysuru at 10:30 PM on Tuesday (25.08.2026) and reach Kannur at 2 PM the following day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06228 Kannur–Bengaluru Cantt Special Express will depart Kannur at 6:25 PM on Wednesday (26.08.2026), and reach Bengaluru Cantt at 8:35 AM the following day.
Train No. 06229 Mysuru-Kannur Special Express will depart from Mysuru at 23:55 hrs on Saturday (29.08.2026) and arrive at Kannur at 17:50 hrs on the following day.
In the return direction, Train No. 06230 Kannur–Bengaluru Cantt Special Express will depart from Kannur at 19:45 hrs on Sunday (30.08.2026) and arrive at Bengaluru Cantt at 10:00 hrs on the following day.
En route, the special trains will halt at Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet Jn, Salem Jn, Erode Jn, Tiruppur, Podanur Jn, Palakkad Jn, Shoranur Jn, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, and in the return direction, it will halt at Bengaluru Cantt station.
The special trains will comprise 20 coaches — 1 AC Two Tier, 2 AC Three Tier, nine sleeper class, six general second class, and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
