A 28-year-old man lost his life and his wife sustained life-threatening injuries after the couple fell from the roof of a four-storey building in Delhi. Local authorities reported that the incident took place during the night while the pair was fast asleep on the open terrace.
According to the preliminary investigation, the couple had finished dinner with their family at approximately 9 pm. Seeking relief or space, they decided to sleep on the rooftop of their residence, a common practice during warmer periods, before the fatal plunge occurred under circumstances still being reviewed.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and transported both individuals to a nearby hospital.
