Sirajudheen Ellathodi to represent Kerala on Centre’s MSME policy panel

The Union government has nominated Sirajudheen Ellathodi as a member of the Finance, Credit and MSME Support Committee constituted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the formulation of the National Retail Trade Policy.

A member of the Southern Railway Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) and sub-committee chairman of the Calicut Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Ellathodi will represent Kerala on the National Traders Welfare Board.

He will be one of the seven experts from across the country in the committee, which will focus on strengthening financial support systems for small traders, traditional traders and MSME entrepreneurs.

It will prepare policy recommendations on credit access, working capital support, collateral-free loans, credit guarantee schemes, GST-based financing, banking services, digital lending, fintech integration, and financial inclusion.

The committee will hold monthly meetings and consult trade organisations, banks, financial institutions, and government departments. Its recommendations and reports will be submitted to the National Traders Welfare Board.
