PM Modi lands in New Zealand on final leg of three-nation tour: What's on the agenda?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached New Zealand on Tuesday as he concludes his current three-nation international tour. The visit is framed as a strategic effort to enhance diplomatic and economic ties between New Delhi and Wellington through direct high-level dialogue.

The agenda for the trip focuses on deeping collaboration across various sectors including trade, technology, and regional security. Before leaving, the Prime Minister noted that this visit is designed to meaningfully build upon the strong momentum currently defining the India-New Zealand relationship.

Discussions are expected to align with goals set during previous meetings, particularly following the visit of New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon to India earlier in March 2025. This leg of the tour highlights India's increasing focus on expanding its influence and partnerships within the Indo-Pacific region.
