Parasite causing 'explosive diarrhea' sickening Americans

Current data indicates that while the symptoms are debilitating and have resulted in several hospital admissions, the severity has not reached lethal levels. Medical experts are monitoring transmission patterns to determine if a specific food source or recreational water facility is the primary vector for the parasite.
