Panel headed by Sudha Pillai to study Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board revamp
The Kerala government has appointed a five-member panel led by Sudha Pillai to evaluate and revamp the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). The committee will specifically review the board's organizational structure and its current resource mobilization strategies.
A high-level committee headed by former Planning Commission member secretary Sudha Pillai has been tasked with studying a potential revamp of the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). The five-member panel was established following a government order issued on July 13 to assess the board's operational efficiency.
The committee is mandated to examine the resource mobilization strategy currently adopted by KIIFB to fund various infrastructure projects across the state. This evaluation includes reviewing the financial sustainability and the mechanisms used to secure capital from domestic and international markets.
According to the official order, the tenure of the committee is set for three months from its date of formation. The panel will submit its recommendations on structural changes and strategic improvements to the state government upon the conclusion of its study period.
