Advocate General Vijay Narayan presented the state's position to the Madras High Court, outlining a strict code of conduct for educational institutions. The School Education Department has mandated that no activities of a political, communal, or caste-based nature will be permitted on school premises.
The policy is designed to maintain a focus on academic development and social harmony among the student population. According to the government's submission, the primary objective is to cultivate a sense of togetherness and equality within the learning environment.
Official figures indicate that these regulations will impact approximately 1,03,98,748 students currently pursuing their education.
