The NSCN-IM has formally condemned an IED explosion in Nagaland that resulted in the death of an Assam Rifles havildar. The group emphasized its commitment to existing ceasefire agreements while vowing to identify those responsible for the attack.
The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN-IM) has issued a statement condemning the recent Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast that claimed the life of a havildar from the Assam Rifles. The incident has raised concerns regarding the stability of the region and the ongoing peace processes between armed groups and security forces.
In its communication, the organization stated its intention to conduct an internal investigation to identify the perpetrators behind the explosion. The group characterized the act as a violation of the peaceful atmosphere currently being maintained in the state of Nagaland.
The leadership of the group further clarified that it intends to continue honoring both the letter and the spirit of the ceasefire ground rules established with the central government. This public assurance aims to distance the organization from the violence and prevent a breakdown in diplomatic negotiations. Source: Press Trust of India
