Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials conducted the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam ritual within the sanctum sanctorum and temple premises. During this traditional ceremony, the entire temple was cleaned with a special aromatic mixture called Parimalam, which consists of sandalwood paste, saffron, camphor, and other herbal ingredients.

As part of the proceedings, the deities and sub-shrines were temporarily covered while the temple walls, ceilings, and floors underwent thorough purification. This ritual is a mandatory precursor to the Anivara Asthanam festival, ensuring the temple is spiritually and physically prepared for the influx of devotees.

Following the completion of the cleansing process, the enclosures were reopened and special prayers were offered to the presiding deity. Normal darshan for pilgrims resumed shortly after the conclusion of the ceremony. Source: TTD Official Reports
