Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has responded to a legal notice served by the Bharatiya Janata Party, describing it as a mark of political respect. He stated that the move indicates the BJP views him as a significant force they cannot ignore in the region.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated on Monday that he felt honored to receive what he termed a 'love letter' from the Bharatiya Janata Party in the form of a legal notice. The CM made these remarks while addressing reporters, framing the legal action as a validation of his political relevance.
Abdullah emphasized that the notice served by the BJP demonstrates his standing as a political figure in the union territory. He remarked that if his influence were negligible, the party would not have felt the need to initiate such formal proceedings against him.
The Chief Minister further noted that he considers the development a badge of honor, suggesting that he is a force the BJP is unable to overlook in the current political landscape. He reiterated his commitment to his political stance regardless of the legal challenges posed by his opponents.
