The incident occurred in the Mangrol taluka where the accused, identified as a neighbor, allegedly attacked the woman after a disagreement regarding the repayment of a small loan. Local authorities reported that the suspect doused the victim in an inflammable substance before setting her ablaze on Monday evening.

Police officials stated that the victim had been living as a widow for the past seven years following her husband's death and was the sole provider for her two children. Bystanders rushed her to a government hospital after hearing her cries, but she was declared dead by medical staff later that night.
