Drone strikes kill 3, wound 5 in Moscow region: governor

A wave of drone attacks in the Moscow region has resulted in three fatalities and five injuries, according to statements released by the regional governor. Emergency services were deployed to multiple locations where debris caused damage to residential structures and infrastructure.

Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported that local air defense systems were active throughout the incident to mitigate the impact of the aerial strikes. The strikes are part of an increasing frequency of drone activity reported within Russian borders over recent months.

Military officials indicated that air defenses successfully shot down 81 drones over the region during the operation. This marks one of the most significant aerial interceptions reported in the vicinity of the capital since the start of hostilities.
