District Industries Centres to be strengthened as a single point of contact as part of SBRAP
The District Industries Centres are set to undergo significant strengthening to serve as single points of contact for entrepreneurs. This initiative is a core component of the latest State Business Reform Action Plan aimed at boosting local economic growth.

Under the new State Business Reform Action Plan (SBRAP), the government is prioritizing the decentralization of business approvals by empowering District Industries Centres (DICs). These centers will now act as a primary interface for investors, simplifying the navigation of various regulatory requirements at the local level.
This year's plan introduces a dedicated district-level business reform strategy as a key element to enhance the Ease of Doing Business. By consolidating services under one roof, the initiative aims to reduce the bureaucratic hurdles that small and medium-sized enterprises often face when starting or expanding operations.
Technical upgrades and administrative restructuring are expected to be implemented to ensure DICs can handle the increased responsibilities effectively. Officials believe that providing a single point of contact will foster a more transparent and investor-friendly environment across all administrative districts.
