Controversial Kerala YouTuber Thoppi’s channel shut down over malicious content

Cyber police in Kerala have moved to shut down the digital platforms of Mohammad Nihad, a controversial YouTuber known as Thoppi, following complaints of malicious content. The creator had previously been booked by authorities for allegedly broadcasting obscene visuals and using inappropriate language during his live streams, which often drew large crowds of young followers.
The enforcement action comes after several cases were registered against the creator under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act. Law enforcement agencies had flagged the channel for promoting content that was deemed harmful to social standards and potentially damaging to a younger audience.
Nihad, who rose to prominence through his gaming streams and public appearances, has faced legal scrutiny in the past for causing public nuisance during promotional events.
