Bodies Of 15 Indians Who Died In Vietnam Boat Tragedy Reach Mumbai

The bodies of 15 Indian tourists were repatriated to Mumbai following a fatal maritime accident in Vietnam. The incident occurred on July 11 when a tourist speedboat, carrying 32 Indian nationals and four Vietnamese crew members, capsized in the waters surrounding Hon May Rut Ngoai Island.

Authorities confirmed that the vessel was operating near the popular tourist destination of Phu Quoc Island at the time of the tragedy. Local search and rescue operations were initiated immediately following the capsize to locate the passengers and crew members on board the vessel.

While 15 fatalities have been processed for return to India, official details regarding the survivors and the cause of the capsizing are still being managed by maritime safety officials in Vietnam. The repatriation follows coordination between Vietnamese authorities and Indian diplomatic representatives.
