The Bengaluru City Police have extended operating hours for restaurants throughout the city to accommodate FIFA World Cup fans. Establishments are now permitted to remain open until 3:30 a.m. for the duration of the tournament matches.
Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh has officially issued an order allowing restaurants and eateries to operate until 3:30 a.m. This move aims to cater to football enthusiasts wishing to watch World Cup matches in public venues.
The decision follows a formal representation submitted by the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI). The association requested the extension to ensure that fans could safely congregate and enjoy the international sporting event without violating standard business curfew hours.
Authorities have clarified that while closing times are extended, all establishments must continue to adhere to existing licensing regulations and public safety protocols.
