THE WHAT? Amorepacific is seeking to sell its Anseong health supplement manufacturing plant as part of a broader business restructuring strategy focused on improving capital efficiency and strengthening its core beauty and inner beauty businesses.

THE DETAILS The company has invited proposals from advisory firms to manage the sale of the Anseong facility, which has annual production capacity of approximately KRW204.7 billion and manufactures products for its Vital Beauty inner beauty brand. The GMP-certified site is expected to attract interest from strategic investors looking to enter the health functional food sector. Amorepacific plans to consolidate production at its larger Osan manufacturing facility while continuing to invest in research and development for its inner beauty portfolio. The sale follows a wider programme of asset optimisation that has included the disposal of non-core real estate assets.

THE WHY? The planned divestment reflects Amorepacific’s strategy of streamlining operations, improving manufacturing efficiency and reallocating capital towards higher-growth opportunities, as competition intensifies in the rapidly expanding inner beauty market.
