AAP chief Kejriwal urges Wangchuk to end hunger strike; will meet him on July 16

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal has publicly appealed to activist Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike, citing the activist's deteriorating health. Kejriwal described Wangchuk as an asset to the nation and expressed deep concern over the physical toll the protest is taking on him.

The AAP national convener suggested that while the objectives of the protest are significant, there are various other democratic ways to continue the struggle without risking lives. The appeal comes as Wangchuk continues his demonstration to seek constitutional safeguards for Ladakh.

Reports indicate that Kejriwal is scheduled to meet with Wangchuk on July 16 to discuss the issues at hand further. The meeting is expected to focus on the demands for the inclusion of Ladakh in the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution. Source: The Economic Times.
