‘Breathing shallow’: Aishwarya Rai’s stunt double recalls 150-foot Raavan cliff jump ordeal

Sanober Pardiwalla, a veteran stunt double, recently shared the physical toll of filming Mani Ratnam’s 2010 movie. She recalled jumping from a 150-foot height into a river, an experience she described as intensely disorienting due to the force of the water and the height of the fall.

Upon hitting the water, Pardiwalla noted that the impact caused her to go into a temporary state of shock. She stated that as she drifted toward a waterfall, she found herself breathing shallow and unable to move her limbs effectively before being pulled to safety by the rescue team.

The performer emphasized that despite the extreme nature of the sequence, the production team had safety measures in place. However, the sheer pressure of the water and the velocity of the jump made it one of the most challenging moments of her professional career. (Source: The Indian Express)
