The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has intensified its monsoon plantation drive, targeting 675 parks and four major ridge zones across the national capital. This initiative includes the planting of 6.62 lakh saplings as part of a broader environmental strategy to enhance the city's green cover.
According to official statements, the authority has successfully completed nearly 30 percent of its total annual goal of 23 lakh plantations. The current phase focuses on native species and structural greenery to bolster the local ecosystem during the favorable weather conditions provided by the monsoon season.
