5 Killed, 2 Injured After Car Plunges In Roadside Pond In Odisha
Five people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries after their vehicle plunged into a roadside pond in Odisha. The victims were a group of young adults traveling to attend a friend's wedding ceremony when the incident occurred.
A tragic road accident in Odisha resulted in the deaths of five individuals and left two others injured when their car veered off the road and fell into a pond. All seven occupants of the vehicle were reported to be between the ages of 25 and 28 at the time of the crash.
Local authorities stated that the group was traveling to participate in wedding celebrations for a friend. Emergency responders and local residents assisted in the rescue operations, but five passengers were pronounced dead shortly after the vehicle was submerged.
The two survivors were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment of their injuries. Police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and whether poor visibility or mechanical failure played a role in the vehicle losing control.
