'Your Father Said Sit Inside, Have Tea': Gang Robs Rs 9 Lakh From Delhi House
Assaulting a social activist's home under false pretenses, a gang stole Rs 9 lakh while tricking the family into offering them hospitality. The suspects claimed they were at the residence for a scheduled meeting with the homeowner who was away at the time.
A group of armed men robbed a social activist's residence in Delhi after gaining entry by claiming they had a scheduled appointment. The suspects arrived at the home of Harishchandra and spoke with him over the phone, convincing his family that they were legitimate guests invited for a meeting.
Once inside the house, the men reportedly told the family members that Harishchandra had instructed them to sit inside and have tea. After being welcomed, the gang members revealed their weapons, held the family hostage, and proceeded to ransack the premises for valuables.
The robbers fled the scene with approximately Rs 9 lakh in cash and other valuable items. Local authorities have registered a case and are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the neighborhood to identify the suspects and determine their escape route. Source: NDTV
