Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen announced they have targeted Saudi Arabia's Abha international airport with a barrage of missiles. The group stated the attack was a retaliatory measure following strikes on the airport in Sanaa, which serves as a major hub under Houthi control.

Military officials from the Houthi movement claimed that the strikes on Sanaa caused significant damage to the facility's operations. They attributed the initial bombardment to the Saudi-led coalition that has been involved in the Yemeni conflict for several years.

The Saudi-led coalition has not yet provided a detailed damage assessment regarding the missile launches towards Abha. This exchange marks a period of heightening tensions in the region as both sides conduct aerial operations against strategic transportation targets. Source: Yemen's Houthis via regional media.
