A 24-year-old woman visiting the Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Coconut Grove reported being physically assaulted during a Sunday movie screening. According to local reports, the victim was attending the film with a group of friends when the incident occurred.
Witnesses stated that the confrontation began when a man sitting nearby grew increasingly irritated by the woman's laughter during a scene in the movie. The man allegedly confronted the group before striking the woman with a pizza pan used for food service within the luxury theater.
Police were called to the scene to investigate the physical altercation and the misuse of the cinema's serving equipment. The condition of the victim has not been disclosed, and authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage and witness statements to determine if charges will be filed against the unidentified assailant.
