Warren Buffett removes Gates Foundation from charity list amid Epstein Files controversy

Investor Warren Buffett announced his annual summer contribution of Berkshire Hathaway stock to charitable organizations, but the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was absent from the list of recipients. According to a regulatory filing and company statement, the funds were instead channeled toward the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation and three charities run by his children.

Buffett has donated a total of $5.3 billion in Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares this year, continuing his long-term pledge to divest his wealth. While the Gates Foundation has historically been the primary beneficiary of his philanthropy, Buffett has gradually shifted his focus toward foundations managed by Howard, Susan, and Peter Buffett.

The move comes amid increased public scrutiny regarding various historical associations, though Buffett's statement focused on the legacy and management of his family's philanthropic entities. He clarified that his remaining wealth would be placed into a charitable trust overseen by his three children following his death. Source: CNBC.
