US Student Visa Rule Change: F-1, J-1 Holders Advised To Return By This Day

According to recent guidance from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), students already residing in the United States under Duration of Status (D/S) as of September 15 are permitted to remain. This stay is legally valid until the specific program completion date documented on their Form I-20.
The regulation also applies to those currently engaged in vocational or academic training. Students may continue their residence until the conclusion of their approved optional practical training period, provided they maintain all other eligibility requirements.
