Indian police detained the American national while he was attempting to cross the border into Nepal. During the tactical interrogation, the suspect was identified as Brown and failed to produce the necessary documentation required for international travel within the region.

According to police reports, Brown claimed that he had previously traveled to Thailand on a tourist visa. He alleged that his original passport was lost during his stay in Thailand, which led to his undocumented status while moving through South Asia.

The suspect also informed investigators of his professional background, stating he was a former member of the US Navy. Local authorities are currently conducting further inquiries to verify his claims and determine his intent for the border crossing through the Uttar Pradesh region.
