ECE association inaugurated
The inauguration of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Association was held at National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, in the presence of chief guest Ganesan Mani, senior cyber security consultant, Larsen & Turbo, Chennai.
Mr. Mani addresses on the topic “Think before you click: The hidden truths of cyber security.”
In his speech, he explained about the cyber threats and stressed the necessity for students to strictly follow cyber security practices such as using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, avoiding suspicious emails and using social media safely and responsibly.
Anti drug and ragging awareness programme
Annai Velankanni College, Tholayavattam organised an anti-drug and anti-ragging awareness programme with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and importance of maintaining a ragging-free campus.
J. Anisha Gladis, president, Kappiyarai town panchayat was chief guest. She urged the students to become the ambassadors of positive change by promoting respect, compassion and drug free lifestyle.
J. Johnson, principal and other staff and students were present at the event.
Valedictory function
Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal Golden Jubilee School, Sankaranagar hosted a valedictory event to mark the successful conclusion of a ten-day student exchange programme with Mill Hill School, London. Nine students and three staff members from Mill Hill School participated in the programme.
The valedictory function featured several cultural performances and presentation of annual and memorial awards to meritorious students.
Eco campaign
Department of Commerce of Kamaraj Women’s College in association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) organised an one-hour mobile switch campaign for the environmental protection and the reduction of carbon emission. The campaign was organised by UBA coordinator P. Aruna Devi and principal M. Vanmathi to create awareness about reducing carbon emissions and curbing environmental degradation.
