Telangana Engineer Caught Accepting Rs 2 Lakh, Rs 32 Lakh Seized From Home
Anticorruption Bureau officials arrested a 33-year-old municipal engineer in Telangana's Peddapally district for allegedly accepting a bribe. A subsequent search of the official's residence led to the seizure of more than Rs 32 lakh in unaccounted cash.

Kallepalli Sathish Kumar, a 33-year-old municipal engineer, was apprehended by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh. The incident occurred at the Municipal Office in Telangana's Peddapally district, where Kumar was stationed.
Reports indicate that the bribe was solicited in exchange for performing official duties related to a municipal project. Following the initial trap, law enforcement conducted a comprehensive raid on the accused official's residence to search for further evidence of illicit wealth.
The search operation resulted in the discovery of Rs 32 lakh in cash that the engineer could not legally account for. Officials have taken Kumar into custody, and the seized funds have been documented as part of the ongoing investigation into corruption within the municipal office. Source: NDTV
